Our Napa Valley Chardonnay celebrates our home in the Napa Valley. Aromas of ripe Anjou pear and crème brûlée complement layers of ripe peach, golden apple and lemon shortbread on the palate. The velvety mouth feel is balanced by bright acidity that carries through a fresh finish with a hint of spice.
To create a dynamic Chardonnay, we carefully selected grapes from several distinct growing regions in Napa Valley. Fruit was handpicked from the warm St. Helena AVA, which provide tropical flavors and a round mouth feel. We also looked to the foggy vineyards of Carneros for crisp acidity and to the moderate Oak Knoll AVA to bring structure to the blend.
The grapes for our William Hill Estate Napa Valley Chardonnay were harvested by hand and whole cluster pressed. All juice underwent barrel fermentation at an ambient cellar temperature of 65˚F. Following primary fermentation, the wine underwent full malolactic fermentation with sur lie aging in 30% new American oak.
